Mystery Pudding Cake

1 1/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
1 can (17 ounce) fruit cocktail undrained
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt in bowl. Combine egg, fruit cocktail and vanilla in another bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix till dampened. Pour into greased 8 inch pan. Mix brown sugar and nuts and sprinkle on top. 350 for 45 minutes or until brown.
