Chinese Almond Cookies

These are the kind of cookies you find at Chinese Restaurants and are oh so good. =)

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar

Cream together above ingredients.

In large bowl mix together-

4 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup oil
2 tsp almond extract (better then vanilla for flavor)
slivered almonds

Add dry ingredients into wet. Dip the end of a chopstick into red food coloring and add one slivered almond to middle of cookie dough. Bake 350 for 10-15 minutes

Do you drop the cookies by spoonfuls, roll them out & use cookie cutters or roll dough into a log & slice? Also is cookie sheet greased or ungreased?
