Oatmeal Rolls

Some of the best bread I have ever had.

1 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Butter or margarine
2 cups warm water (120 degrees)
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 pkg yeast
1 egg

In Large Bowl combine oats, sugar, salt and margarine. Cover this with the two cups of hot water and stir till combined. In small bowl dissolve yeast into 1/4 cup of additional warm water (120 degrees). Add the egg to the yeast mixture and blend with fork. Add yeast and oatmeal mixtures together and add (one cup at a time) the 4 cups of flour. Blend well. let rise 1 hour. With well floured hands shape into 6 or 7 blobs. Knead each blob before putting onto a greased cookie sheet with enough space to allow for rising. Allow to rise for 30 minutes. Bake 350 degrees till nicely browned on top. (Sorry I dont have a minute time here- I wish I did) Cool on wire rack.
