Mom's Teriyaki Chicken

I dont have measurements as far as how much chicken you will need for this. Just wing it- double or triple the recipe for multiple pans. The sauce is delicious.

1/4 cup sugar (I sometimes use brown sugar)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp oil (sesame oil is great)
1 tsp ginger grated (you can omit this or used ginger powder but it really isnt the same!)
2 garlic cloves minced

Wash chicken and place in pan with skin down. Combine all sauce ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil so sugar dissolves. Pour over chicken. For best results it's good to let chicken sit in marinade but not neccesary. Bake 350 for half an hour or so till chicken is done and nice and brown. Half way through cooking flip chicken pieces over. Turn up oven to brown if neccesary. The juices from the chicken and the sauce will make a great sauce. Better the second time around for sure!
